updates on my flying
« on: June 14, 2018, 07:17:07 PM »
for whomever cares...

as of sunday June 10th, I have logged 17hrs in less then 4 weeks on my Challenger 2 Ultralight. This litle thing is something. Of course, not as fast as a C172, but i am enjoying the slowlyness of everything. gives me time to think... LOL ;D

Flew to my first Flyin in Maniwaki, that was a thrill cause I had never flown in turbulent air like that at 2:30PM on the way back, was very turbulent and was flying formation with 3 other Challengers, Barry, Alain and Tony. That was nice too but they kept making fun of me, cause all 3 of them where flying 10' off the lake and I has at 2000'. They have amphibs i didnt, so I had to stay up high. But no worries, I'll take this year to get to learn the plane and next year ill put my Amphibs on and fly low like them.

Anyways, finally get to fly my own plane and only cost 35$/hr (fuel and oil) and it perfoms (at least on the climbout) well with climbs of 1100'/min. that is pretty steep.

ill pop by CYRO next time i fly to say hi. there's so many places i wanna go now I dont know where to start LOL

Nothing beats owning your own aircraft and the joy of flying it. So, Congrats NPereira and may all your gauges stay in the green.  Slow aircraft with a large wing are much more susceptible to turbulence than my Hershey bar Piper. But turbulence is part of daylight summer flying. Try to get your night rating which will smoothen out your flights.
