Title: weather
Post by: hans on January 03, 2018, 01:09:40 PM
So how do you like winter this far? I normally try to fly my Piper at least twice a month to exercise the propeller but with these temperatures that came in from Antarctica or God knows where, I barely venture out of the house. But I did see some guys flying at CYRO and CYND when I went to shovel the snow from my aircraft. Must be nice to have a hangar. Happy New Year everyone and hope for better weather soon.

No hangars at CYRO yet (except the maintenance hangar, and it's usually full). The planes you saw flying must have been club planes or hardy owners who cleared their outdoor tie-downs.

I was out on an extended vacation in India in Nov-Dec and came home to -35 deg in end of Dec! Since then, I decided to put off flying until it gets a bit warmer. I don't want to freeze to death during the walkarounds. Feels weird not having flown for almost 3 months now! The review flight is going to be an interesting one ;D
