Ultralight advanced
« on: September 05, 2017, 05:21:22 PM »
Hi all,

Is there anyone still here?

Over the weekend, I went camping to Hawkesbury east airport do so some paramotor flying with some friends and attend the brakefast that Michel (the owner) hosts every first Saturday of each month. Anyway, I got the chance to go fly with him in his new Quicksilver.

We got to talk about the Challenger II advanced ultralight and got interested in getting more info as I would like to get back into it after 4years out now that my finances are a lot more relaxed.

Saw a few of theses for sale around 15-24k$.

What are your impression?

I don't intend on  buying a cessna or any other type of GA aircraft. What interest me in a ULA is the low cost, own maintenance, personal ownership, and ease to do my own maintenance and repairs. I'm an certified ex-mechanic and have experience in 2stroke engines.

I don't want to start talking about, ya but you know is not as safe, bla bla bla,and not interested in a share either.

My budget is 15-20k,and looking to buy, maybe next year.

I intend to go and hookup with P-A SÚnÚchal at Úvolution flight school in Gatineau and buy a block of time on his PA-28 in order to get back in it at my own pace.

Let me know your comments.
